AC maintenance & tune-ups

Central Texas summers push air conditioners hard. A yearly tune-up keeps your system efficient, catches worn parts early and lowers the odds of a breakdown on the hottest day of the year.

AC Maintenance by Climate Control Solutions

AC Maintenance

What a tune-up covers

  • Inspection and cleaning

We inspect the system and clear built-up dirt and debris from the coils so it can release heat efficiently.

  • Refrigerant and performance check

We check refrigerant levels and test how well the system is actually cooling.

  • Thermostat and controls

We calibrate the thermostat and confirm the controls are working correctly.

  • Electrical, drain and condenser safety

We check connections, capacitors and the condensate drain to prevent hard starts, leaks and fire hazards.

Our approach

Why yearly maintenance pays off

Spring is the best time for AC maintenance, before the long hot season starts. Small issues like a weak capacitor or a dirty coil are cheap to fix in April and expensive to fix in August.

Regular maintenance helps your system run more efficiently, last longer and keep your warranty in good standing.

Want it handled automatically? Our Gold Service Plan includes two tune-ups a year, priority scheduling and 10% off repairs.

“They are professional, take their time and give an honest evaluation and what I appreciate most, they don't try to upsell me on things my unit does not need. I highly recommend them!”

“Oscar gave me lots of feedback about my a/c about how strong it is doing and that it's not dying as I thought it was. Didn't try to scare me into buying a new one.”

“We were scheduled for Monday to have 1 of our 2 air conditioners worked on. On Sunday the other unit quit cooling. They were great to adjust my scheduled time to work on both. Really great customer service.”

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How often should my AC and heater be serviced?

At least once a year for each. Ideally that means an AC tune-up in spring before the Central Texas heat and a heating check in fall before the first cold front. Our Gold Service Plan covers both visits.

My AC isn't blowing cold air. What should I check first?

Make sure the thermostat is set to Cool and the set temperature is below room temperature, check that the air filter isn't clogged, and confirm supply and return vents aren't blocked. Check the breaker for the outdoor unit too. If it still isn't cooling, turn the system off so a frozen coil or failing part doesn't get worse, then call us at (512) 960-5282.

Do you offer emergency HVAC service?

Yes. Emergency heating and air conditioning service is available 24/7. Call (512) 960-5282, day or night.
