FAQ

Heating & AC questions, answered

My AC isn't blowing cold air. What should I check first?

Make sure the thermostat is set to Cool and the set temperature is below room temperature, check that the air filter isn't clogged, and confirm supply and return vents aren't blocked. Check the breaker for the outdoor unit too. If it still isn't cooling, turn the system off so a frozen coil or failing part doesn't get worse, then call us at (512) 960-5282.

Should I repair or replace my air conditioner?

Repair usually makes sense when the system is fairly young and the problem is a single part. Replacement is worth pricing out when the unit is around 15 years old, your energy bills keep climbing, it needs repairs several times a year, or one repair approaches the cost of a new system. We'll tell you honestly which side of that line you're on. Many of our reviews mention we didn't push a replacement that wasn't needed.

Do you offer emergency HVAC service?

Yes. Emergency heating and air conditioning service is available 24/7. Call (512) 960-5282, day or night.

What areas do you serve?

We're based at 342 Jefferson Dr in Kyle and serve Kyle, Buda, Austin, San Marcos, Wimberley, Woodcreek, Dripping Springs, Driftwood, Mountain City and Hays.

Which brands do you work on?

All major brands and models, including Carrier, Bryant, Lennox, Goodman, American Standard and York. Our recent installs include Bryant, Carrier and Goodman systems.

How often should my AC and heater be serviced?

At least once a year for each. Ideally that means an AC tune-up in spring before the Central Texas heat and a heating check in fall before the first cold front. Our Gold Service Plan covers both visits.

Do you offer financing on a new system?

Yes. Financing is available through FTL Finance, and you can apply online. Ask us about it when we quote your new system.

Can you help with allergies or dusty air in my home?

Yes. We install whole-home air quality products such as upgraded filtration and air purifiers that capture dust, pollen, pet dander and mold spores. We'll look at your system and recommend what fits your home.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. Climate Control Solutions holds Texas air conditioning contractor license TACLB77818E, and our team is licensed, insured and trained.
